The depth of installation depends on the tree’s root system. Typically, HDPE root barriers are installed at a depth that covers the majority of the tree's root zone. The barrier should be installed deep enough to prevent roots from penetrating beneath it but shallow enough to allow sufficient growth of the tree roots above.
